With funding support from American Refugee Committee International, VDF facilitated the formation and training of 3 (LOSACs) as a Pilot Project in Kolahun district with an average of 35 members per club. One hundred and five (105) members were actively involved in savings mobilization and loan management. VDF also started a Micro Enterprise Development Program in Lofa County. The Business Training and Grant (BTG) component of the project targeted 500 clients but recruited a total of 505 clients (39 IDPs, 438 Returnees, and 28 Host Community Members) in fourteen (14) communities. Total grant money issued out to clients is US$35,175. Total assets of clients at post grants evaluation was worth US$51,000.00. Each of the Five hundred (500) clients completed 40 hours of basic micro enterprise development training which enable them to choose and engage in a profitable micro enterprise and to price goods and services in a way that ensures profit.
